About us
Welcome to Crooked Board Farms. We are a small farm located in Wisconsin, in the process of learning how to raise anything that will make us more self sufficient we have acquired pigs, goats, beef cattle, chickens and a vegetable garden during the summer months.
I'm Rachel...the chief farm manager, I milk the goats and feed most of the animals. My husband Brent, is the farm maintenance guy, he bales the hay to feed everything, and helps out where ever I need a helping hand. We also have 2 children that help out with there respective animals. Our daughter has 2 horses and owns one of the goats. Our son was awarded a Black Angus heifer last year through 4-H and has since bought himself a Scottish Highland heifer that he hopes to breed in 2011. Also included in our family is our daughters boyfriend. He has been really good about helping out around the farm when we need it, he even learned how to milk the goats.
Our goal is to become totally self sufficient and one day to be totally off the grid.
